MHC had organized a Press Conference entitled "A detainee was beaten and forced to eat the petitions he sent to the President of the Parliament, Mr. Marian Lupu".

The NGOs are stopped by DPI from their way of actions, by creating obstacles to access to their petitioners, by violating the right to petition, the right to legal assistance, the right to access to justice, and other convicted persons rights...

Press Release on Protecting human rights and good governance in the Republic of Moldova is dangerous!

Press Release on a new provocation undertaken by the self-proclaimed regime in Tiraspol in order to tension the situation in the security zone.

Project funded by the EU’s AENEAS programme, which Moldovan Helsinki Committee is working on, in partnership with the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) and NGOs from Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The Ministry of Justice had appealed Moldovan Helsinki Committee to give its opinion on Draft Law on modification of Art. 116 of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.

Appeal of the Moldovan Helsinki Committee on the straining of the situation in security zone by the self-proclaimed regime in Tiraspol.        

Self-proclaimed regime in Tiraspol had undertaken new actions in order to strain the situation in security zone, defying the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and diminishing the efforts of peacemaking missions. 

The President of Moldovan Helsinki Committee, Mr. Stefan Uritu, was invited to give human rights lessons on summer school of the University "Nicolae Iorga", during the period August 12-17 2007 in Valeni de Munte city, Prahova disctrict.  

The summer school is organized by the National Association "Cultul Eroilor", Prahova branch, and the University "Nicolae Iorga".

Moldovan Helsinki Committee has been visited by Mr. Alexander de Jaeger - political advisor, representative of the Council of the European Union, Office of the EU special Representative for the Republic of Moldova.  

The Press Conference will take place on January 25, 2007 at 10 o'clock within the headquarters of MHC.

On September 18, 2006 the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova had decided to refuse the admission of the request of MHC on registration the modifications to MHC Statute.  

After MHC sued the Ministry of Justice at law, thus the Court decided to annul the decision of the Ministry of Justice as being illegal and obliged it within 15 days from entering into force of the court decision to register the modifications to the MHC Statute (January 10, 2007). 

Unfortunately, from the discussions with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, they are tergiversating and don't have any intention to execute the court decision.
